Ideal conditions for going offshore to Lord Howe or New Zealand though!
I am located on the east coast, on latitude just above the H on the 1019 millibar high pressure system.
23 December 2015:
The forecast for today and the morrow is pretty perfect. 20 knots maximum winds on the beam, 1.5m of swell from the starboard quarter and overcast with the chance of showers. But, I have preparations undone and two children to tend to on the eve of Christmas. It will have to wait until Boxing Day and the headwinds are expected by then. Can't have it all, but I am looking forward to kicking off to sea, setting the windvane on a wide course and putting the kettle on using my Origo stove that Santa is bringing.
